U4GM tips to master top Search and Destroy loadouts in BO7
When you queue into a round of Search & Destroy in Black Ops 7, you pretty much know what you've signed up for, whether it's ranked play or you've just come out of messing around in CoD BO7 Bot Lobbies. One death and you're stuck watching a teammate slow-peek a corner for the next two minutes. That's why the loadout matters way more than people like to admit. It isn't just "who's got the better shot" anymore, it's who turned up with a setup built for staying alive, trading properly and not burning utility for no reason.
Primary Weapons For Different Roles
If you like holding lanes, locking down bomb sites and being the last guy off the angle, the Maddox RFB fits that role almost perfectly. Once you throw on a 20" barrel and High Velocity ammo, the gun starts to feel more like a laser than an AR. You'll win fights against people who thought they were safe behind long sightlines, and the dropoff doesn't punish you as much as it should. On the other hand, if you're the "I'll hit the site first and hope someone trades me" type, the Dravec 45 is a much better fit. It snaps up fast, the sprint-out feels tiny, and with a foregrip plus a tactical suppressor you can fly through tight hallways, delete someone and duck back before their team works out where you came from.
Why Your Secondary Actually Matters
A lot of players treat the pistol like an afterthought, then panic when they're stuck reloading in a 1v1. The Jager 45 makes that mistake hurt less. At close range it's got that scary one-tap headshot potential; you miss a couple of bullets with your primary, swap, land one clean shot and suddenly you've stolen the round. The Velox 5.7's picked up a bit of hype too, mostly because it pairs so well with Scavenger. You don't have to waste perk slots trying to fix ammo problems later, since you're topping up as you move around the map and can actually commit to longer rounds without playing scared.
Perks And Gear That Keep You Alive
Perk choices in S&D usually come down to one basic idea: stay alive long enough to matter. Flak Jacket is the obvious starting point because every round has at least one guy lobbing nades at the bomb. Without it, you're just free damage. From there, Scavenger helps you keep your main gun loaded without relying on fallen weapons, and Looper gives you space to sneak in a fourth perk when you really want a full toolkit. Sometimes you swap that out for Perk Greed instead if the team comp needs more utility. For aggressive players, Gung-Ho makes a big difference, letting you swap to that pistol instantly and keep pressure on instead of hiding behind cover waiting for an animation to finish.
Mindgames, Movement And Sound
New gear has shifted how people take fights too. The Stem Shot isn't just a panic heal, it changes how you move between engagements, cutting down that weird downtime where you'd normally slow up and get caught. Then there's the Simsex grenade that fakes footsteps; it sounds like a gimmick until you watch defenders hard-rotate off a site because they think three players are sprinting at them. You toss it one way, wait for the audio to pull them out of position, then swing from the other side and get a free pick. In the end, Search & Destroy is less about chasing red dots and more about layering utility. You can also buy u4gm CoD BO7 Bot Lobby to practice.
